Discover the area
The Sappada 2ooo lift will take you up into the mountains at a very short distance from beautiful mountain lakes and the first world war forts and ruins. The Piave River spring: easily reached by car or with a nice walk. Once there you can also continue walking up to the Calvi mountain hut and then on following the steps of Pope Joseph 2nd that will take you to the very top of the Peralba Mountain. Just a few miles away, protected by mountains, lays the beautiful valley Val Visdende, defined by the Pope as "God's Temple". Sappada is on the border with Austria, a short drive will take you to the southern part of the country, yet more discoveries.
